  • What security do you have in place to protect my information?

Healthgrades uses the leading identity-verification system used by many health information exchanges, which asks you questions that only a physician/provider should be able to answer. Healthgrades also has security procedures in place to watch for abnormalities in your data that might indicate wrongdoing. Misrepresenting yourself as a physician violates federal statutes and laws in all 50 states. Only physicians or their authorized representatives are allowed to manage a physician's profile on Healthgrades. Violators will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.

  • How do I add physicians to my account? Can I access my entire practice with my user account?

In cases where the Healthgrades system already shows several providers tied to a practice, authorized users will have the option to update all of the providers during registration.

We are working to add this feature for existing users. Until then, please contact customer service to have practices and/or providers added or removed in your roster.

NOTE: A physician’s account can also be set up to manage other providers in the practice. Please contact customer service for assistance.

How Does Healthgrades Manage Profile Information?

Healthgrades Patient Surveys and Recognized Doctors

  • What does Healthgrades do to prevent patient survey fraud?

Healthgrades validates every patient survey. Once the patient submits the survey to us, the survey goes through several validation steps, such as confirming the patient’s email address and testing for spam. Once the source and content of the survey are validated and confirmed, the survey is ready for posting.

Healthgrades is committed to continually improving our survey collection and validation processes and may change our process as new technologies develop.

If you think someone has falsified a survey about you or your staff, please contact customer service.

  • What can I do about a bad survey dragging down my survey score?

Healthgrades is committed to continually improving our survey collection and validation processes and may change our process as new technologies develop.

If you think someone has falsified a survey about you or your staff, please contact customer service.

However, the best strategy is often to simply get more of your patients to complete a survey. We offer postcards that you can hand to patients after an appointment. The postcards have a personalized link they can use to complete a survey about you. Please contact customer service to have these postcards emailed to you.

  • How can I encourage more patients to fill out a patient survey about me?

Healthgrades offers postcards that you can hand to patients after an appointment with a personalized link they can use to complete a survey about you. Please contact customer service to have these postcards emailed to you.

  • Can I post a response to my patient survey scores?

Yes, you can submit a general response to be displayed on your patient survey page. After you have reviewed and updated your profile, and verified your identity, you will find this option in the Profile Commentary section. Please do not refer to any specific cases or people (even indirectly). Healthgrades reserves the right to remove inappropriate responses that come to our attention.
